General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of January 5-9 reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will have a meltdown while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) solve the shooter puzzle. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also scheme, so GH will deliver some excitement.
At Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will get called to the witness stand again.
Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) questions will prove trickier to answer than Dante might’ve hoped, so Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) will console him later.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) will face a tough grilling session in the courtroom as well, but Alexis seems poised to set him up for perjury.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) should land in a similar situation, but she’ll try to keep her promise to protect Michael in any way she can.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will take her own turn on the witness stand along with Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) and eventually Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell).
It looks like Alexis will rip Jacinda’s lies to shreds and get her to admit she was with Ezra the night of Drew’s shooting.
Jacinda may feel she has no choice if Ezra confesses that first under oath.
While Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) postpones her paternity test for a bit and frustrates Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will breathe a sigh of relief over Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) agreeing to take Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kiernan Barry) to Ireland with him.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) will also bark orders at Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) while Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) potentially deals with another surprise Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) reunion.
While Valentin and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) strategize later, the trial drama will heat up.
Tracy will reach a jaw-dropping conclusion, so something may click for her when it comes to who actually shot Drew.
Dante will also make a confession to someone, so he may worry about the fallout from Alexis’ strategy and reflect on how poorly things went on the stand.
At some point, Drew will have a meltdown and perhaps push Alexis not to blow the progress she’s finally making.
Alexis may face pressure to pull out all the stops to get Willow acquitted.
In the end, Alexis may roll the dice by putting Willow on the stand and just hope it doesn’t backfire.
As for Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), GH spoilers say they’ll bump into Drew and struggle with all the erupting tension.
Britt will also spill some news she shouldn’t, so will this slip-up involve some secret project info or perhaps her growing feelings for Jason?
Over with Trina and Kai, they’ll be floored when they realize who actually pulled the trigger on Drew.
The final puzzle piece may come thanks to the Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star ringtone that Kai and Trina heard that night.
Trina and Kai assumed Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) was calling Drew’s phone, but they may not realize Willow most likely has that same ringtone set for her stepdaughter.
Kai and Trina will have to make some difficult choices about what comes next, so stay tuned for updates on their upcoming debate.
Back with Laura, she’ll trade info with Sonny as they continue their efforts to fight back against Sidwell.
