At 58, Michael Easton Breaks his silence and admits what we had already suspected

After years of sticking to just a Facebook account, Michael Easton finally made his way to Instagram—just weeks before his exit from General Hospital as Dr. Hamilton Finn in June 2024. Since then, he’s kept fans in the loop, occasionally sharing updates on his new account.

But between March 23 and November 14, 2025, Easton went completely radio silent—no posts, no updates, nada. That all changed on November 15, 2025, when he shared a sneak peek from a new photoshoot with American photographer Jackson Davis.

His caption read: “Back from sabbatical and stopped by the studio of my buddy @jacksondavisphoto. This guy is so talented he even got me to smile.”

They Are Happy to See Him

Clearly, Michael’s back—camera-ready and all—and fans were thrilled to catch even a tiny update.

In the comments, his former GH co-star Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) chimed in with a friendly, “Hey friend!”

Rebecca Budig, who played his onscreen love Hayden Barnes and now stars as Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful, wrote, “Beautiful smile. Beautiful photos.”

Jacqueline Grace Lopez (Blaze) exclaimed, “There he is!!!!” His onscreen brother

Josh Swickard (Chase) added, “Looking fresh as ever!!”

Evan Hofer (ex-Dex) called him, “The coolest,” and Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of Our Lives) reminded everyone, “Even the best deserve some much-needed R&R.”

Michael Easton’s Soap Career

Of course, fans know Michael Easton has an extensive soap career; he’s played numerous roles in the genre.

His journey began in 1991 when he was cast as Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives. He left a year later but returned to soaps in 2001 on Port Charles as Michael Morley and Caleb Morley. In 2003, he joined One Life to Live as John McBain.

And then came General Hospital. Since 2012, Easton has played a variety of roles on GH, including John McBain, Caleb Morley (aka Stephen Clay), Dr. Silas Clay, and Hamilton Finn.

His work didn’t go unnoticed; he earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2018 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on GH.
