Various moments can happen on The View, but, recently, viewers were caught off guard during a moment on the show’s weekend spin-off. During a discussion, Sara Haines had a brief slip of the tongue. At the time, fans got to see both Sara’s co-hosts and the studio audience’s reactions. Many fans also turned to social media to share their own reactions to what happened.
A New Lily Allen Song Became A Recent Topic Of Discussion On The View
The View, ever since it premiered in 1997, has shown a line-up of all female panelists discussing various current events and hot topics from their studio in New York. Currently, the co-hosts are made up of Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Over the years, the co-hosts have offered quite a few moments that have surprised fans. This hasn’t just happened on the main show, but The Weekend View, as well.

Premiering earlier this year, The Weekend View debuts episodes on ABC News Live. Unlike the main show, which is usually filmed live, episodes of this weekend show are usually prerecorded, being taped the Friday beforehand.
During an episode airing on Nov 15, 2025, many fans were surprised during a conversation between the hosts that also shocked the show’s in-house audience. Early on, the co-hosts discussed Lily Allen’s new song, “Tennis,” discussing the song’s role as a “break-up” record.
At one point during the conversation, Joy Behar noted, “One thing that gets me is that he’s playing tennis with somebody. He’s not sleeping with…” It was at this point that Sara Haines interjected, “No, he’s also f******,” which elicited a loud response from the studio audience.
On Social Media, Fans Shared Some Suspicions Over The Moment
Even Sara’s co-hosts reacted to the moment, with Sunny Hostin teasing that “now everyone knows that Sara has a potty mouth.” It was even teased that executive producer Brian Teta was blushing. Behar joked, “She’s from Iowa. You know, they cover things up in these states,” causing Haines to tease that she was dealing with “repressed emotions.”

Taking to social media, many fans were surprised by the moment. Some expressed surprise that this wasn’t simply edited out, as it was a taped show.
In addition, a few commenters shared the belief that the moment could have been staged. Some comments included:
- “So staged. I don’t believe that she’s been doing LIVE TV all these years without a slip up. But, on a recorded show (i.e. one where she knows they’ll be able to edit it out) suddenly she slips up?”
- “Joy is such a tell because her eyebrows would have been, if that was real. I think they had to do this without Whoopi because her EGOT self would never stoop to acting for whatever this was trying to be. Sad.”
- “I was there for a taping a couple months ago and let’s just say things are very relaxed.”
- “Wait why wouldn’t they have edited this out if it was prerecorded?”
- “Why edit it out if it was funny?”
