Counting On star Jill Duggar Dillard shared a special memorial for her son and daughter after their deaths. Like countless other women, the former reality star suffered the devastating loss of a child they very much wanted. Stay on this page to see the special way the TLC star honored her lost children.
October 15 Marks A Special Day
Miscarriages are exceedingly common, especially early in the pregnancy. Statistics show that 1 in 4 women will suffer a pregnancy loss. The monumental loss was a taboo topic for way too long. More and more women have been speaking out about their miscarriages in the last few years, including several women from the Duggar family.
Three women banded together in 2002 to share their grief with the world. Robyn Bear, Lisa Brown, and Tammy Novak started a campaign that year to have October 15 designated a special day of remembrance for grieving mothers.

Several states made October 15 International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day that year. The support for the movement rose over the years, and it was officially acknowledged by all states in 2006, including in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where Jill and her husband live.
Many other countries also mark the day.
